Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2025

Peer is committed to safeguarding your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, please reach out to privacy@trypeer.ai.

1. Information we collect

We collect information to deliver automated competitor intelligence and to operate our services responsibly. The categories of data we collect are:

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. We never see or store your Google password.
  • Team and company profile. To tailor competitor recommendations we store the company name and domain you provide in onboarding or settings.
  • Product usage data. We log anonymised analytics about feature usage, page views, and in-app actions to improve Peer and diagnose issues.
  • Customer communications. If you email us, participate in interviews, or submit feedback, we keep those messages so we can respond and investigate.

2. How we use your information

We use the collected information to:

  • Authenticate you via Google and keep your session active.
  • Generate competitor recommendations and manage your watchlist.
  • Send product updates or alerts if you opt into communications.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of our infrastructure.
  • Analyze aggregate usage to inform our roadmap and prioritise reliability.

3. Data retention

Signal data is retained for 90 days by default so that you can review historical competitor activity while keeping data footprints small. Account information is stored for as long as you maintain an active Peer workspace. You may request deletion of your account or data at any time by emailing privacy@trypeer.ai.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal information. We only share data with trusted sub-processors who help us run Peer (for example hosting providers or analytics tools) and only for the purpose of providing the service. All vendors are bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements. We may disclose information if required by law or to respond to legal requests.

5. International transfers

Peer is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. where our servers are located. We rely on contractual safeguards when transferring data outside your jurisdiction.

6. Your choices

  • Access and update. Edit your company profile at any time in settings.
  • Delete. Contact us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Communication preferences. You can opt out of non-essential emails directly from the message.

7. Security

We use industry standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwordless Google authentication, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method is 100% secure; please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational or legal requirements. If we make material changes we will notify workspace owners via email or in-app notice. Continued use of Peer after changes goes into effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
